What this can and can't see
- The ground as the laser saw it on the survey date shown. Anything regraded, built or planted since is not in it.
- Hollows about 25 ft across or wider that hold about 2 inches or more are usually found. Ones under about 10 ft across are not: the survey is too coarse.
- It does not know where downspouts empty or how fast the soil drinks. A spot here is where water would collect if it didn't soak in first.
- Storm drains and yard drains look like ponds to it, because it can't see the pipe.
An early test. Lidar: USGS 3DEP. Property lines and photos: Lawn Mapper. Nothing you type is saved.
